What coding bootcamp did I choose ? Part 2

My research for a coding bootcamp started end of March 2018 and it took me almost 2 months to finally decide to which one I was going to dedicate my soul and body. In the area of Paris, the offering is wide and 2 months were not to much to decide. I first started looking at adult education center. the program consists of 2 parts, the first part is theoretical and offers 2 months of lecture (150 to 200 hours). The second part is practical. We use what we have learnt through a 6-month internship in a company. The formation to become front end Developer was around 7500€ . Same scenario and price if I wanted to become Back-end developer. I was not interested in this offer for several reasons. First, it was expensive. The cost was exceeding the budget I had set. Second, I would not have had the time to finish the program (2 months + 6 months). I was supposed to sell my house in September or october and move abroad. I only had 6 months in front of me. My first post. When it all started.

One year ago, in April 2018 I started looking for a new path, both career and way of living my life. The country where I wanted to move with wife and kid was already decided. I just needed to deal with what I was going to do there. I knew already I wanted to learn more about Web and Mobile Development cause I have always been kind of a geek. So I started looking for bootcamps that would give me the knowledge to understand and be able to build by myself a website. Today, one year after, I can say I understand and I am able to develop my own web and mobile Apps with React/React Native (I wasn’t even aware of the existence of React or Javascript at that time). And hold on tight, I am presently opening a Coding Bootcamp to help people realize their own project. Who would have bet on that one year ago ? follow my adventures on  https://www.liloweb.com

So last year I have decided to learn programming languages so that I would be able to understand how things work and build my own Website. Before I started looking I already had notions of what HTML and CSS were. When I started my career 15 years ago, I used to work on webmarketing. My job was to keep the website updated with news, prices or products. At that time, people used to call me a Webmaster. I had different interactions with Web Developers but never needed to open a text editor more complex than “note” from Windows XP. I just asked them to do and they did do. No question asked. So, when the time came to take the path to learning web development I started searching on google “what to learn to become a web developer”. Oh boy …. after 5 min I was already lost.
